Farmers & Merchant Appreciation Dinner, Annual Meeting & Ice Cream Social! Tuesday, August 8, 2023

Each year, a Brown County Historical Society spokesperson comes to your location and attempts to collect donations and sponsors for our annual farmer's and merchant appreciation dinner. While this meal and tradition is a celebration, the individual who raised money for these events is no longer with us. Therefore, we are sad Jere will not be joining us in celebrating the completion of the Bruning Barn! The Bruning Barn is inspired by a space where the community could gather for special events! Brown County Historical Society plans to combine the Annual Meeting, Ice Cream Social, and Farmers and Merchant Appreciation Dinner. The event will be on August 08, 2023, with dinner commencing at 5:30 pm. Dinner will be served in the Bruning Barn at 301 East Iowa Street, Hiawatha, KS 66434.  Menu and Pricing for dinner TBA. 

We hope you will consider donating and continuing to sponsor these worthwhile community events. In addition, we would like to inform you that you and your employees are invited to attend as this is a community event. I have included a flyer that you can post at your locations. You are welcome to wait until the representative comes to your facility, or you can mail your donation/sponsor check to the address listed above.
